Oatmeal Containers
Basic Instructions for an Oatmeal Container
- Use a LARGE Oatmeal Container (The small ones do not work very well)
- Empty ALL oatmeal from container. Please do not bring any oatmeal to school.
- Make sure the lid of the oatmeal container is NOT a CLEAR plastic one. It may be plastic with a paper insert, however. Containers MUST NOT let any light in. The smallest amount of light will ruin your pictures.
- Make sure your container is in perfect shape. No damages that might let any light in.
- Make sure your lid fits snugly.
Painting Your Oatmeal Container
- Note: If you are unable to paint your container at home, we will do it at lunch.
- Use FLAT BLACK (Do not use glossy!)
- Spray paint the inside of your container completely black.
- Spray paint both sides of your lid completely black.
- Spray paint both sides of the bottom of your container black.
- IF, you have enough paint, paint the outside of your container black. Note: painting the inside is what is important. The outside will add a little insurance that light does not get in and make it look better.
Optional Donations
- If you happen to have old containers laying around, please consider sending them in. We usually have students that will need them.
